The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is recruiting a senior lawyer to fill the permanent position of the Head of Prosecution Policy and Research Unit in our Prosecution Support Service Division.  Successful applicants must, on or before 21 October 2022, be enrolled as a Solicitor in the State or have been called to the Bar with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Solicitor or Barrister or have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior policy role in the wider criminal justice sector or a comparable organisation.

Candidates must have an understanding of criminal law, the criminal justice system in Ireland including the role of the DPP.  Candidate will also be expected to display good communication skills; will demonstrate strong analytical and decision making skills and have people management and leadership experience.
