The ODPP is progressing an ambitious ICT modernisation programme to ensure our systems, services, and digital infrastructure remain resilient, responsive, and fit for a modern prosecution service. As part of this ongoing transformation, we are inviting applications for the role of ICT Operations Manager (Assistant Principal Officer).
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a proactive and experienced ICT professional to oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of core ICT services across the organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring staff have access to reliable, secure, and well‑supported technology. The role will involve leading and managing the ICT Helpdesk Team to ensure timely and effective issue resolution, overseeing device lifecycle management across a diverse estate of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals, and managing mobile and printing services, vendor engagement, and contract performance. The ICT Operations Manager will also monitor service delivery, analyse support trends, and implement improvements to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and user experience, while promoting strong operational governance and security awareness across all ICT activities.
This position requires a strong focus on service excellence, operational reliability, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider ICT team to support the Office’s strategic objectives and maintain a trusted, high‑performing ICT environment.
