The purpose of the strategy is to set out a shared vision for a joined up criminal justice system, to embed and sustain collaborative work, to drive innovation leading to more effective solutions and sanctions, with better outcomes for the public.<\/p>\n<p>The Department wants to hear the voices of communities to assist it in developing the direction of this first ever Strategy for the Criminal Justice System.<\/p>\n<p>More information on the currently proposed direction of the Strategy is available <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.justice.ie\/en\/JELR\/About_the_Criminal_Justice_Sectoral_Strategy.pdf\/Files\/About_the_Criminal_Justice_Sectoral_Strategy.pdf\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>There are two ways you can have your say:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/5FJKFR9\"><strong>Online Survey.<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp; This survey will close at 5pm on&nbsp;<strong>Wednesday 12 August 2020<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Send a written submission to&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"mailto:criminaljusticestrategyconsultation@justice.ie\">criminaljusticestrategyconsultation@justice.ie<\/a><\/strong>.
